Rock, Fossil, Quake!
At the Saint Louis Science Center, our mission is to ‘ignite and sustain lifelong science and technology learning’. We seek to make science fun through informal, interactive learning experiences. We are a team of educators, entertainers and science enthusiasts! Our expert staff, passionate volunteers, educational and corporate partners all work together to make the Saint Louis Science Center one of the top 10 in the country.
The Earth Science galleries (Ecology & Environment Past, Dana Brown Fossil Prep Lab & Dig Site) provide immersive, hands-on exhibits focused on geology, paleontology, seismology, ecology and the environment. In this space, families and learners of all ages can learn alongside Science Center staff and deepen their understanding of Earth’s past, present and future.
A Part-Time Earth Science Educator I is the rock that the gallery experience is built on. Lead visitors through hands-on activities, interpret our many immersive exhibits, guide visitors through the Fossil Prep Lab and let them touch our real dinosaur fossils!
