The Custodial position performs routine interior and exterior cleaning services, assists in maintenance of building services equipment, supplies and inventories. In addition, works a part of a team to set up and break down tables and chairs for meetings and special events. Conduct emergency custodial services as needed and must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
High school diploma or GED
Prior experience highly preferred, particularly with floor care experience.
Good verbal and written communication and the ability to interact with visitors.
Must be able to measure the correct dilution measures of chemical use.
In order to perform the job duties of the Custodian, the candidate must be able to follow verbal or written directions, lift one end of several 8 ft. tables and to lift and place 8-12 chairs per table, wet mop floors and handle a mop bucket 2/3 full of water, climb and work from a 12ft. ladder, sit and use their hands and fingers. The candidate will also be required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, and occasionally crawl. The candidate must be able to see small amounts of dirt or imperfections in order to maintain the highest quality cleaning standards, and must be able to able to work with typical janitorial cleaners, chemicals and supplies.
This job includes working indoors and outdoors, wet, hot, cold, and snowy conditions. The noise level in the work environment varies inside based on events and exhibitions.
